This webinar introduces viewers to the foundational technology involved in AI-based echocardiography applications, pointing out some applications that viewers may already use before introducing the newest AI tools.
Robert Rogers, BS, RDCS, RVT, National Strategic Business and Luminary Manager, opens the discussion by sharing Philips philosophy about creating AI tools that can be implemented into existing workflows and that keep the sonographer in control while providing reproducibility and workflow advantages. Auto Measure, for instance, reduces quantification time by 51%1, and Dynamic Heart Model is 82% faster2 than traditional 2D techniques for LV and LA analysis, saving approximately three minutes per exam.
Dr. Akhil Narang, Director, Echocardiography Laboratory and Associate professor of Medicine at Northwestern University, Feinberg School of Medicine and Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute, offers insights into the historical development of algorithms that recognize views of the heart, explaining that is the foundational technology that makes new AI tools possible. He introduces tools including Auto Measure, Smart View Select, 3D Auto Tricuspid Valve (3D Auto TV), 3D Auto Mitral Valve (3D Auto MR), 3D Auto Color Flow Quantification (3D Auto CFQ) and Auto Segmental Wall Motion Scoring.
The webinar concludes with a case review of a patient with torrential TR who is being referred for a tricuspid valve replacement.
